How staying physically active helps us as we age

Along with visiting your primary care doctor, staying active is an essential part of maintaining your health. Read more about why physical activity is so important.

Understanding seniors and making sure we address their needs is at the core of how we treat our patients.

We work as a team to support one another, often going above and beyond to ensure the well-being of our staff and patients.

Our primary care doctors work with seniors on a deeper level and specialize in the needs of adults on Medicare.

How staying physically active helps us as we age

Staying physically active is an important part of maintaining your health and well-being as you get older. In fact, it is recommended to get moderate-intensity aerobic exercise for a total of 150 minutes each week or vigorous-intensity aerobic exercise for 75 minutes each week. In addition to cardio, doing two strength-training exercises per week is also recommended.

Benefits of staying active

Consistent exercise has a wide range of benefits, some that you might not even realize. Staying physically active helps stabilize your mental health, increase bone and muscle strength, prevent arthritic issues, improve sleep, increase life longevity, decrease risk of disease, and boost self-confidence.
